Machine Operative

Day Shift: 3 days on, 4 days off covering Monday-Saturday (Monday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday) 12-hour shifts

Pay Rate: £13.40

About the role:

We're seeking skilled Machine Operatives who are hard working with strong communication skills and the ability to meet manufacturing deadlines within a team environment. Ideally, you will have worked in an FMCG/ Food Manufacturing environment previously with proven experience working with machinery.

We are based in Heckington (Sleaford) and Bromborough and we are part of the Zertus UK & Ireland Snacking & Chocolate Market Unit partnered with other food manufacturers across the country.

• To assist in the safe, efficient and accurate running of the factory machinery such as industrial roasting/ frying machines. 
• Complete process control checks on machinery. 
• Complete various paperwork accurately and neatly.
• Report breakdowns, working with the Engineering team.
• Liaise with the quality teams and supervisors regarding any anomalies found whilst operating equipment.
• Ensure the safety, legality and good standards of the production facility.

• An understanding of food safety - prior training such as Food Safety Level 2 will be beneficial, however, you will also receive this training via Humdinger 
• Machinery experience
• Formal basic Mechanical appreciation
• Good oral and written communication skills are required and paperwork to be completed and signed off where necessary.
