Overview

Supply Chain Accountant  

Humdinger,  Bromborough CH62 3RD

 

As a Supply Chain Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of driving financial efficiency across our procurement, inventory, and distribution processes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll provide critical analysis and reporting that supports strategic decision-making and cost control across the supply chain.

 

Position type: Full-time, Permanent.

Hours: 37.5

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30

Pay range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

Breaks: 30 minutes

Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Accountant, your insights will help reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making across the supply chain. Your key responsibilities will include:

Procurement Finance

  • Analyse and report on Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
  • Track and report supplier rebates.
  • Manage buying and accounts payable (AP) variances.
  • Oversee procurement-related overhead costs.

Supply Chain Finance

  • Deliver accurate inventory reporting and analysis.
  • Administer and report on stock disposals.
  • Manage stock provisions.
  • Monitor distribution and pallet costs.
  • Oversee supply chain-related overhead costs.

Financial Reporting & Planning

  • Support month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and year-end audit processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally food or beverage)
