Hygiene Supervisor

Humdinger, Heckington 

 

Join our team as a Hygiene Supervisor, leading hygiene operations to ensure top-tier cleanliness, safety, and compliance. Drive standards through team leadership, training, audits, and collaboration across departments.

 

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent 

Hours: 40

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

Pay range: £15.21 /hour 

Breaks: 2 x 20 minutes PAID

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Hygiene Team, including scheduling, absence cover, recruitment and performance reviews.
  • Ensure hygiene standards are met across the site.
  • Maintain and manage hygiene documentation, including cleaning schedules, COSHH records, CICs, and SOPs.
  • Oversee training and development to ensure all staff are competent in hygiene procedures and health & safety practices.
  • Monitor and manage chemical usage, titration checks, PPE compliance and supplier relationships.
  • Conduct regular internal and retailer audits, inspections and address non-conformances.
  • Manage hygiene stock levels, ordering of chemicals and consumables and budget control.
  • Investigate and report hygiene-related incidents and accidents in line with site procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven hygiene experience with strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and chemical handling.
  • Supervisory or management experience in a hygiene or food production environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to uphold high hygiene standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate a team.
  • Confident in challenging non-compliance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hygiene-related documentation.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
