Facilities Technician

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Humdinger Snacking Factory is looking for a Facilities Technician to join our team. This role ensures the facility runs smoothly by performing inspections, basic repairs, and maintenance to keep the environment safe and efficient.  

 

Position type: Permanent, full time

Hours: 39 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (early finish on Fridays)

Responsibilities

  • Carry out a range of maintenance tasks including plumbing, joinery, decorating, and general building work.
  • Perform routine checks across the site (e.g. fire extinguishers, L8 water checks, vehicle condition).
  • Maintain outdoor areas including mowing, trimming, and minor repairs.
  • Support engineers and collaborate with internal departments.
  • Ensure all work meets food safety and health & safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, or building services role is essential.
  • Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised and detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Willingness to complete Food Safety Level 2 training if not already held.
  • Flexibility to support weekend work if required.
