Machine Operative

Humdinger, Heckington, NG34 9JH

 

Position type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 36

Shift Pattern: 3 on, 4 off covering Monday-Saturday (Monday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday) 12-hour shifts, 18:00 - 06:00

Pay range: £16.14

Breaks: 3 x 20 minutes paid 

 

We're seeking skilled Machine Operatives who are hard working with strong communication skills and the ability to meet manufacturing deadlines within a team environment. Ideally, you will have worked in an FMCG/Food Manufacturing environment previously with proven experience working with machinery.

 

Closing date: Friday 8th May 2026

Responsibilities

  • To assist in the safe, efficient and accurate running of the factory machine such as industrial roasting/ frying machines. 
  • Complete process control checks on machinery. 
  • Complete various paperwork accurately and neatly.
  • Report breakdowns, working with the Engineering team.
  • Liaise with the quality teams and supervisors regarding any anomalies found whilst operating equipment.
  • Ensure the safety, legality and good standards of the production facility.
  • Role involves manual handling and lifting of ingredients up to 25kg

Qualifications

  • An understanding of food safety - prior training such as Food Safety Level 2 will be beneficial, however, you will also receive this training via Humdinger 
  • Machinery experience/mechanical knowledge.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required 
  • Experience within a factory environment such as Production Operative; Line Leader; Machine Operative; General Operative; Machine Minder; Line Technician
