QA Auditor

Humdinger, Sherburn LS25 6PJ 

 

Play a vital role in ensuring the quality, safety, and integrity of products enjoyed by customers across the UK and beyond. As a key member of the Technical team, you'll be at the heart of the operation, helping to uphold the highest food safety standards, protect product quality, and drive continuous improvement across the factory.

Position type: Permanent Full-Time 

Pay range: £34,304.27 (£16.39 per hour)

Key Benefits: Healthcare cash plan via paycare (Dental, Optical, Chiropody, Professional Therapy, Counselling) with a value over £400 each year

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days, 6am - 6pm per shift (averaged to 40.25 hours per week) 

Closing date: 31/08/2026

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits (PFS, Glass & Plastic, Cleaning Standards) and report findings promptly.
  • Investigate Quality or Food Safety incidents, NCRs, and customer complaints; implement corrective actions using root cause analysis.
  • Manage calibration, micro testing schedules, and food safety checks (ATP/allergen swabs).
  • Support daily taste panels, technical tracker updates, and documentation for audits/complaints.
  • Hold or repair out-of-spec products; sign off rework and raise waivers as needed.
  • Ensure site calibration for scales and probes are completed.
  • Testing and Inspection of Chocolate Tankers where required.
  • Deliver Critical Control Point (CCP) training and act as Quality Champion across the site.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Quality Auditor in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of retailer standards
  • Internal auditing experience
  • Attention to detail 
  • Strong administrative skills and use of Excel and Word 
  • Strong communicator 
  • Level 2 Food Safety
  • Level 2 HACCP
